NASCAR selected the 75 greatest drivers to mark its 75th anniversary and Kyle Larson is one of them.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver joined NASCAR full-time in 2013 in the Xfinity Series after racing in the Truck Series in 2012. His achievements in the two series include 13 Xfinity race wins and two in the Truck Series.
Driving for Chip Ganassi Racing, he won five Cup wins. However, he only exploded in the Cup Series after joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2021, winning 10 races, including the championship. He added three more wins in the 2022 season and has one win so far this season.
Chase Elliott plans to continue snowboarding despite missing six weeks due to injury
Larson is also the first active driver to make it to the list, which will include 25 new drivers along with the 50 drivers already selected for the 1998 list when NASCAR celebrated its 50th anniversary.
While there is no doubt that Larson is one of the best active drivers, it has come as a surprise to many fans that Larson is included in the list ahead of two-time Cup champion Kyle Busch.
Wow, Larson is good but Kyle Busch is better.

Maybe the best today, or one of, but one of 75 greatest I don’t know. Be interesting see who is left off when this is done

Has Jimmie Johnson been named yet to your Top 75? I'm shocked honestly. I remember during the Daytona 500 how much the commentators were praising during the Daytona 500 saying "He could walk on Water". And your company calling him one of the 3 greatest drivers ever.

The list just got so watered down and pointless.

Whether the list is justified or not is up for debate, but given that Larson is still in the prime of his career, he will certainly add to the legacy that he is building.
