After a disappointing last season by his own standard, Kyle Busch is set on winning ways early on in the 2023 season.
There were even doubts as to whether Busch could perform in his new team, Richard Childress Racing. However, the doubts have been put to rest with Busch’s performance at the Auto Club Speedway. And to make the win better, it was the last race in the track in its current state as the track is set to go under renovation into a short track.

Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 Chevrolet driver Kyle Larson was full of praise for Busch after the race. He tweeted:
“Couldn’t be happier for Kyle Busch. The guy is one of the best race car drivers ever and will always be. I’m glad it only took him two races to remind the world.”

His HMS teammate, Chase Elliott also expressed his happiness for Busch winning the race.
“Congratulations to Kyle (Busch). For him to leave and then go get the job done like that is pretty cool. He’s always been really good to me, so happy for them and looking forward to getting to Vegas and hopefully competing for some more wins.”
Busch admitted recently that 2022 was a difficult year for him both on and off the field. However, he looks ready to leave the past behind and put new energy and focus into his new team.
