Kevin Harvick wants to follow 2022 Cup Series champion Joey Logano’s lead toward future progress in NASCAR.
Logano joined Kyle Busch as the only two drivers with multiple Cup Series championships in the current NASCAR Cup Series bunch. However, the No. 22 Ford Mustang driver for Team Penske is not only known for his achievements on the race track but also outside it.
Appearing in many sporting events representing NASCAR, Logano always tries to promote NASCAR beyond its traditional fanbase. In addition to that, Logano also helped mentor Rookie of the year, Austin Cindric, in the 2022 season.

Harvick sees Logano’s actions as a motivation to others and a lead to follow in promoting NASCAR. He also said that he feels guilty for not doing enough as Logano does.
“He has a voice that he uses and participates in many of the activities and things that it takes to help us progress. It’s been an interesting year to understand where everything is at, and I’m guilty of it as well and not participating in doing the things that we need to do,” Harvick said.
While Logano will continue to divert his attention toward promoting NASCAR, his main priority will certainly be retaining the 2022 title.
“That’s where my head is at right is, ‘Let’s go get another one,”, Logano said.
Winning the championship is already hard, but retaining it is even harder. The last person to do so was Jimmie Johnson. However, he won five consecutive titles from 2006-10.
