The short track racing at the LA Coliseum featured a total of 15 cautions for spins or wrecks and of course, it had a crash on the final lap as drivers were prepared to run into each other to gain positions.
Martin Truex Jr. won the Busch Light Clash exhibition race on Sunday evening after he was winless in 2022.
Truex Jr. was able to take the lead from Ryan Preece with 24 laps to go and led the rest of the way.
Kyle Busch told reporters that the race was a disaster.
“A disaster with the disrespect from everybody just driving through each other.”
“Last year’s show I felt like was relatively clean and good racing, some bumping, some banging, but we could run long stretches of green-flag action.”
“where today was I would call it a disaster with the disrespect from everybody of just driving through each other and not just letting everything kind of work its way out,” said Busch.
Joey Logano got into Busch on Lap 87, which sent the RCR driver around in the opposite direction on the track and forced NASCAR to display a caution.
Busch sent out a warning to the defending Cup Series champion Joey Logano after the two made contact on Sunday.
“He’s got another one coming. I owe him a few.” Kyle Busch said.
“It’s really unfortunate to get raced by guys (Logano) that are so two-faced,”
“We were in the TV booth earlier in the night together and when we were all done with that he was like, ‘Hey man, good luck tonight’ and I said, ‘Great, thanks, yeah. Whatever.’ And then low and behold, there you go, he wrecks me.
“Don’t even talk to me if you’re going to be that kind of an (expletive) on the race track.”
