Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin is never shy of saying his opinions out loud.
Hamlin has been like this for a long time. However, since starting the Action’s Detrimental podcast, Hamlin has been giving his opinion on various aspects on a regular basis.
Hamlin pours it out, whether it is the quality of racing, analyzing races, or criticizing other drivers. Recently, he criticized his 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace for flipping the middle finger during the race.

The JGR No. 11 driver has now criticised FOX for the lack of enthusiasm in their commentary and compared it with that in F1 racing. He said:
“Listen, I have to give an absolute shout-out to the announcers,” Hamlin said. “Unbelievable how, I mean, they make you think, oh my god, this is unbelievable what Max Verstappen did in the final sector in qualifying. I mean, screaming in the mic saying, ‘Cannot believe what just happened.’
“And I’m like, wow, I guess this is, this is a big moment. I should care about it. Yeah. And it’s just crazy when you hear kind of the monotone that we have (in NASCAR), right, it’s just that, da-da-da-da-da-da.”
This is not the first time Hamlin is criticizing FOX. Back in April, he spoke of how Fox could have covered the race at Bristol better.
