Kevin Harvick let out a furious rant in his Twitter post regarding the safety of drivers after Alex Bowman suffered concussion-like symptoms.
During the race at Texas Motor Speedway, Bowman’s tire exploded and he hit the wall as a result. With the reduction in the crumple zones of the new Next Gen cars, it is the driver that takes more impact when crashing.
As a result, it has left the Hendrick Motorsports driver with s concussion-like symptoms because of which he will miss the next race at Talladega. Bowman described the impact as “the hardest I’ve crashed anything in my entire life.”
“Sorry I put you in this situation” – Alex Bowman crew chief Greg Ives takes blame for Texas wreck
However, he is not the only one on the sidelines due to injuries on the field. Kurt Busch has been sidelined for the past 10 races and it is not clear as to when he will be back.
Kevin Harvick is not happy with the lack of progress that the Next Gen cars have made regarding the safety of the drivers. He made his feelings clear in a Twitter post.
“Completely unacceptable that those in charge have let things get to this point. I remember it like it was yesterday @dennyhamlin
in the presentation of the new car to the drivers pleading that the car was to stiff. Data didn’t agree. TIME TO LISTEN TO THE DRIVERS CRASHING THEM!”

He was particularly unhappy because he is of the opinion that NASCAR is not taking in drivers’ input regarding the safety of the cars. While the Next Gen cars have added to the Cup series racing and there are a lot of unpredictable winners, safety still remains a major concern for the model that needs to be addressed soon.
Because we all care what Kevin Harvick thinks about anything.
